iOS Features You Must Know

iOS Features

Most people use a fraction of what their iPhone can actually do. These are the features our team gets asked about most when customers come in for a repair or upgrade — small things that make a real difference once you know they're there.

Focus Modes

Set up custom Focus modes (Work, Driving, Sleep, Personal) that filter which notifications and apps show up based on what you're doing. It's a far more flexible version of Do Not Disturb.

Live Text

Point your camera at any text — a sign, a recipe, a handwritten note — and your iPhone can copy, translate, or call/email it directly. Works in the Camera app and on saved Photos.

Notification Summary

Instead of getting buried in notifications all day, schedule a digest that delivers low-priority alerts in one batch at a time you choose.

Spatial Audio for calls and video

On supported headphones, voices in FaceTime calls sound like they're coming from where each person is positioned on screen — genuinely makes group calls easier to follow.

Quick Note

Swipe up from the bottom-right corner (or use a keyboard shortcut on iPad) to jot a quick note from any app — it automatically links back to whatever you were looking at.

Background sounds for focus

Buried in Accessibility settings, this plays ambient sounds (rain, ocean, white noise) continuously in the background — handy for concentration or falling asleep.

Safari tab groups

Organize open tabs into named groups (Work, Travel, Shopping) and switch between entire sets of tabs instantly instead of hunting through dozens of open pages.
